The story of this anime is based on two brothers – Edward and Alphonse Elric. They both are experts in chemistry and use a forbidden alchemy called 'Human Transmutation' to bring back their mother. But something goes wrong and Edward loses one of his legs and hands, while Alphonse loses his entire body. Edward then replaces his arms and legs with metal parts and binds his brother's soul into a suit of armor. Now their journey begins to find the 'Philosopher's Stone' so that they can bring back what they lost.

Its story is based on the manga written by Hiromu Arakawa. The story is so amazing that you won't feel like skipping a single episode. There are some twists at the end of every episode.

The soundtrack of this anime is amazing. Songs like Again (YUI) and Period (CHEMISTRY) make the anime even more special. The background score also creates a perfect balance in emotional and intense scenes.
