"FALLEN (2016)" Movie is Worth Watching?

Fallen is a 2016 romantic fantasy film directed by Scott Hicks. It is based on the young adult novel of the same name by Lauren Kate. The film stars Addison Timlin, Jeremy Irvine, and Harrison Gilbertson.

Overview

Lucinda Price "Luce" is a young woman who is sent to Sword and Cross, a reform school for troubled teens, after being accused of a crime she did not commit. At Sword and Cross, Luce is attracted to two mysterious students, Daniel Grigori and Cam Briel. She soon discovers that they are fallen angels who have loved her for centuries.

Review

Fallen is a movie made with beautiful cinematic scenes and special effects. The lead actor in this movie is very strong, whose character named Luce is played very well by Addison Timlin. There are some shortcomings in the story of the movie like some weak plot, not developing the character properly and rushed ending in the end. Due to these shortcomings, the movie seems a bit lacking.

The plot in this movie is a bit convoluted and confusing. Along with this, the movie has not been able to express the mythology of Fallen Angel and the history of Luce and Daniel's relationship properly, the result of which was that it could not answer many questions of the audience and they remained without answers.

The characters seen in the movie were also not developed well and Luce was the only character who was well developed. Both Daniel and Cam lacked one dimensional and real motivation. And the supporting characters are also not developed well as mostly the plot develops.

The story of Fallen also ends very quickly and is unsatisfying. The movie ends without resolving its story due to which the major plot points are not cleared. Which leaves the audience cheated and disappointed.

Overall Fallen was a flop movie which disappointed the audience as well. Some good scenes also exist in the movie like its visuals and performances but on the contrary it has a weak plot due to weak character development and rushed ending.
